      Saturday 29 October—Balfour Garden Club outing to the Tokanui Area. Meeting at the Balfour Tavern at 8.45 am. This will be an all day tour and it is hoped that there will be sufficient numbers to consider taking a bus. Interested folk are asked to contact Viv Sutherland on 201-6228 with numbers.

SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS—School photos are on display in the Library and orders are being taken.  Parents are welcome to come and view these photos during school time.  Orders close on Friday 4 November. 

CUPS RETURNED—Please return all NSC cups and trophies ASAP so that they can be organized for this year’s prize winners.

AUSTRALIAN ENGLISH COMPETITION RESULT—Well done to everyone who competed in this exam.  Congratulations to the following students who received a ‘Credit’;  Amy Heslip, Samantha Dickie, Emily Patton, and Charlotte Patton.  Special congratulations to Hayden Patton for receiving a ‘Distinction’. 

SPORTS CONGRATULATIONS—Congratulations to
Mikala Gerken and Matt Dillon who were selected for the Southland U16 Tennis team, and to Ben Allan who was selected for the U14 team.  They will compete at the Southern Quadrangular Tournament next weekend in Dunedin.

PTA MEETING—On Wednesday 2 November there will be a PTA meeting in the Meeting room at Northern Southland College starting at 7.30 pm.  Anyone interested in the running of the canteen, please attend.
